The tests themselves run without cookies and there are no accounts to keep you logged into. The cookies that do appear come from the Google services we use: analytics now, advertising once it is enabled.
Local storage
Some tests remember your best result in your browser's local storage, and the site remembers there that you closed the language suggestion bar. This is not a cookie: it is never sent to any server and is used only for these two things on the same device. You can clear it from your browser settings at any time.
Analytics cookies
We use Google Analytics to see how many people visit, which tests they open and how they found us. It sets first-party cookies in this site's name (_ga and one more for this property) to tell a returning visit from a new one, and it sends the page address, the referring link, an approximate location and basic device details to Google, which processes them under its own privacy policy. Nothing you type, record or test is part of that: those never leave your device.
You can block or delete these cookies in your browser settings, or install Google's official opt-out add-on. The tests work exactly the same either way.
Advertising cookies
When advertising is enabled, ads are served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may set cookies to measure ads and, with your consent, to personalise them. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland a consent dialog appears before any advertising cookie is set. You can change your choice at any time using the link in the site footer, and you can manage personalised advertising in your Google Ads settings.
How to control cookies
Every browser lets you view, block and delete cookies through its settings. Blocking cookies does not affect the tests on this site.

This policy changes when the site changes. The date at the bottom of the page shows the last update.
